At Saint-James, we know how to cultivate the beautiful but also the good. In the gastronomic restaurant "Le Saint-James", the star chef Nicolas Magie, stages a cuisine based on local products. Creations inspired by the daily market and the seasons, in keeping with the refined decor and the dishes. All this sublimated by the panoramic view over Bordeaux and the rows of merlot that produce the "Wine from the garden". On the cellar side: no less than 1,500 references are listed by sommelier Richard Bernard.

Bedrooms
The initial decoration of the rooms created by Jean Nouvel in 1989 has been preserved in its entirety in order to maintain its spirit. Reissues of furniture signed by famous designers (Jacobsen, Mies Van Der Rohe, Jean Prouvé, Le Corbusier, Eileen Gray, Charles Eames…) complete each of them. Large bay windows allow light to invade the space and offer in all rooms a panoramic view of Bordeaux, the vineyards and the Garonne. Thus mix design and nature. For a Japanese touch: four bedrooms have low Japanese style beds. To enjoy direct access to the vineyards and the garden: three bedrooms have a small terrace.

The low-key décor in each standard room allows light „to invade“ the space: walls coated with marble powder, painted concrete floors, large bay windows with panoramic views of Bordeaux. The Nouvelle rooms are located on the first floor and offer views of the vineyard and Bordeaux. The Hauterive rooms are located on the ground floor with small terraces and they have Japanese-style low beds. There are 3 suites with an area between 50 and 70 m² available.

In the gourmet restaurant „Le Saint-James“, the starred chef conjures up a cuisine that is indeed classical but nonetheless revisited and multicultural featuring regional produce. Different atmosphere and different cuisine in the bistro „Côté Cour“: its chef invites you to try fresh and savoury dishes highlighting seasonal produce. The „Café de l’Espérance“, the rôtisserie located in the heart of the old village bistro of Bouliac, proposes a choice of grilled meat and fish, accompanied by „home-made“ chips as well as a buffet of starters and desserts.

For the staging of events, receptions and other seminars, the hotel has 3 salons. They all have access to the terrace with panoramic views of Bordeaux and the surrounding vineyards.

Since 2006 the works of different artists have been presented at the hotel every three months. This is a way of opening up the hotel and its restaurants to contemporary art like paintings, sculptures and photos and of sharing this passion with its guests who are invited to each private viewing.
