Next to the famous wine producing châteaux of Saint-Emilion, and close to the Medieval City, stands the imposing architecture of the only 19th Century Château Hotel of the Bordelais right bank: the Grand Barrail Hotel Restaurant & Spa.

Our 41 rooms and 5 suites are located in the Château and the 3 others properties: "la Résidence", "la Maison du Bien-être" and "la Maison du Vignoble". Renovated in 2009, the rooms are at least 35 m², and most of them have a terrace or balcony. All of them have an outstanding view on the vines and all modern conveniences – while perfectly maintaining the "château" flair. Whatever your tastes or the type of holiday you are looking for, we are sure to have the perfect room for you.

The bedrooms and bathrooms of the castle have been entirely redone in 2009 and each one in a unique style. The concern of Gil Dez and Charles Montemarco, ours decorators, was to make the guests feel that they are staying in a real castle, and that they discover the place and its exceptional luminosity.

The Suites
In keeping with the château itself, each suite is unique; combining modern comfort with period charm. With fine views over the vineyards, the "Grand Barrail" will help you forget time and relax in a haven of tranquility. Each suite boasts a separate living area, flat screen TV, minibar, "Nespresso" coffee machine, desk, wifi access throughout, for those who wish to stay in touch, and a bathroom worthy of its name, with separate bath and shower areas.
Air conditioned suites with terrace or balcony with view over the vineyards or chateau, Nespresso coffee machine, Direct dial telephone, Internet access via cable or Wifi, Minibar and 52 cm flat screen LCD Television.

The Executive Rooms
The ancient « gustavien » style roof structure of the executive rooms found on the second floor of the castle have been preserved. The roof structure has moreover inspired Gil Dez and Charles Montemarco in their choice of the interior layout. The fabrics come from several great editors such as « Pierre Frey ». The carpet has been custom made according to an original design, the bathroom furnishings with marble basins and laquered furniture by «Mise en Demeure », traditional style bathtubs and plumbing fixtures by « Zucchetti », room furniture by « Près de Brou », light fittings by « Acanto ». Each room is a combination of elegance, charm and high comfort.
